Canada 2014 Ste-Luce-sur-Mer, QC (Quebec Province) Postmark - cancel showing the ship RMS Emprerss of Ireland. Matches the stamps that have been issued this year also.

This is a town cancel, not an official first day cancel.

Just shows what some creativity can accomplish, not only with many different stamps, but also with postmarks and cancels. Sets off any stamp really.

. . . tying a Canada 2013 Baby Wildlife series Woodchuck babies permanent coil stamp to piece.

Neat, thanks fbissonn.

It is nice to review an old page at Canada Post and see a new design and direction for the pictorial, philatelic cancels.
Good link to save.

From the above Canada Post site: (about the Ghost Pictorial Cancels):

Quote:
This set of souvenir cancels marks the ghostly locations depicted in the first set of stamps from our Haunted Canada series. Aren't they just to die for? Collect them all…or else!

Here is one from St. Louis, SK (Sacatchewan) about the Ghost Train:

Addresses for the Post Offices where the cancels are, are provided at the above Canada Post link.
