Going through my collection I came across what appears to be a label from a Rwanda mini sheet or stamp. Can someone help identify where this label originated?

This is only a guess. But I would say it come from one of the African headdress or costume issues of 1968, '69, '70 or 71. The font and general layout is similar. If I had to nail it down to one of the four, I'd pick the first issue in 1968. The images in my 2003 Scott's doesn't show any engravers info on the bottom of the stamp in those. The catalogue makes no mention of accompanying labels, so, as I said, this is only a guess.

My 1997 Michel Nord- und Ostafrika has a note below the 1969 set saying "Nr. 327-334 wurden in Bogen mit jeweils 40 Marken und je zwei verschiedenen Zierfeldern gedruckt."
Which Google Translates as "Nos. 327-334 were printed in sheets of 40 stamps each, and two different ornamental fields."
So I would agree with Jamesw's guess.

My old Y&T catalog says after #301-308 (1969): "Ces timbres existen avec vignette attenante". That is: these stamps, exists with an attached cinderella.
The typography of the stamp shown, is the same of the cinderella's.

The SG North East Africa catalogue states that the 1969, 1970 and 1971 sets were each printed in sheets consisting of 40 stamps plus two labels.

I've seen some example blocks and pairs showing labels from these sets and it appears that the two labels in a single sheet have different designs, e.g. test and a picture of an animal.

I've not seen complete sheets of any of them but they appear to formatted as:

3 stamps - 1 label - three stamps in the top row
4 rows of 7 stamps
3 stamps - 1 label - three stamps in the bottom row

where all stamps have the same face value in each sheet.

However, I've not seen any examples with this label so far.

(corrected the number of rows without labels from 5 to 4)
