I have searched ebay, bidStart and Google to identify some of the title stamps and have learned that four were issued in 1999, the 7p grey, 38p ultra, 44p stone and 64p sea green.

I would appreciate it, if someone could give me the Scott numbers for these four. The design is Scott Type C, syncopated perfs, and the year of issue, again, is 1999. My GB catalog is too old to show these.

Thank you in advance.

Donald

Oh my, they don't make it easy. Is this the most complex set of definitives ever? This is what I've come up with, Scott doesn't have dates of issue for each individual stamp unfortunately.

1997-2004 Perf. 15x14 Syncopated,

MH249A 7p gray
MH264 38p dark blue
MH264B 38p dk blue, perf 13 3/4x14 1/4
MH270 44p brown
MH276 64p greenish blue

Donald:

If you're NOT using Robin Harris' site to identify your Machins, go now...

http://www.adminware.ca/machin.htm

However, Harris' site doesn't use Scott numbers, so if you already know all this, forgive my interruption.

Thank you, Kirk. I was not aware of that site and have now bookmarked it for future study.

Since my original request, I found another site that gave Michel numbers using them is acceptable. The bidStart site had listings with SG numbers, but they did not make sense. There were two listings for the 7p, one noting that it was issued in 1997 which conflicted with all other information I had obtained. The other listing noted an issue date of 1999 and this matched all the other sites. The problem with the SG number listed was that it was not consistent with that given in a different listing for the 64p. One of them was out of sequence. I simply could not trust the information so reached out to the forum.

Thanks, again.
