Not sure what you mean "if this stamp was the stamp", is it taped to the page at the top of the stamp ? Also. a larger scan instead of the thumbnail scan will help us help you.

1200 DPI scan should give you something this size.

You had asked if it was taped at the top, its hinged,
I thought I read somewhere there was a triangle Cape of Good Hope stamp that was printed with the wrong color. I got this stamp out of a 9th edition scott stamp book album that I bought last night.

Before you edited your post your initial question did not mention a color error. Yours looks to be a 4d blue, like the one above which is normal. If you are thinking of a shade of blue,it will be too difficult to tell for sure for several reasons.

1.scan size
2.how close to the actual color is the scan ?
3. Viewing mediums, monitor, tablet or smart phones

The color error is a stamp (4 pence) in brick red, and printed by Typo
