Canada Plate Collection- On Ebay

Maybe someone has better eyesight than I do. This looks to me like one of those God awful self adhesive photo albums used to place stamps in. I see no mounts used. Many of these are not even 'plate' blocks. Any comments?

Stamps1962...This is an old school photo album that has 2 pockets and margin on the left to write comments about wedding pictures..etc...it is plastic pockets...To me not worth $90.00

I made an offer of $15. - which it is worth if just the stamps are sent - not the book.

The pages in the photo album pictured have their own adhesive. I doubt if you could remove the stamps without damaging them. It would be very risky even using the most extreme caution. Each page has it's own plastic sleeve so the pages don't stick together

Seller just "counter-offered" $85 on the $90. Gosh what was I to do but decline?

I did a quick calculation of the total face value of the stamps shown. I would guess that all the blocks included have a photo included. Not including the 4x Postage Due plate blocks, the total face value is approx. C$102.37. With the current exchange rate (using xe.com), this equates to US$90.37. The initial "Buy-Now" price is US$90.00.

I do not see this being sold anytime soon if the seller does not reduce the price!

Which means he wants "face" for the lot. And he won't get it unless someone is just dying to spend some money.

The lot is not offered in Canada (guess he's afraid the stamps will freeze). So I can't se what he is asking for shipping. Can someone tell me please?

I see this sort of listen often on ebay stamps. Some uninformed seller thinks he/she has a treasure trove which is actually an overpriced pile of garbage. A few times I have sent messages to gently inform the sellers that they are probably wasting their time and listing fees, only to get back snarly messages, in one case laced with obscenities. It is very hard for some folks to admit someone else may know more than they do- even someone who has collected for decades. This sellers counter offer of $85 shows his head is still in la la land so maybe it's best to just let him find out on his own.
