Hi all, I have a question. I have a lot of stamp sheets. But if I put it in my album, it takes more then 4 rows of the page. So is there an apart album for storing whole sheets? Because I need more space in my albums... I thought of an album like album for banknotes, such kind of layout. I hope someone has a solution for my problem. Greetings, Rik

Take a look at Lighthouse's 'Maximum' line. They have a one-pocket sheet that can contain whole sheets. |

There are full sheet albums that hold either one or two sheets per folder. Sheets need to be kept in proper materials and flat - as folded they develop a weakness making them vulnerable to perf separating (actually we are speaking of single panes. A sheet is 4 panes) |

I use Lindner's Mint Sheet album (for sheets up to 245 x 315 mm) and Lighthouse Vario Plus pages with one large pocket on each side of the page. The Lindner album has 50 double-sided clear pockets so you have space for 100 sheets. I like both systems. |

You can buy stamp sheet storage pages off the internet, then find a binder wide enough to hold them. This is basically what I did. But I only had a few stamp sheets and it wasn't worthwhile for me to get a whole book. Here is a link to iHobb where they have mint sheet albums. http://www.ihobb.com/c/MINT_SHEET_STORAGE.html-IBFS |

These work, too, and often you can find discount coupons for the hobby stores that sell them which result in a very cost effective price, plus they are available in an array of sizes. I use them for blocks ... all the way up to Press Sheets (in different sizes, of course). http://www.artprofolio.com/Art_prof...volution.htm |

Or it can be called a "miniature sheet". In terms of storage, it depends what type of album you want to use. You would be able to get pages or a separate album which is suitable - Hagner for example make individual pages with clear protective spaces big enough - look at their range of products via ebay, to get an idea. In terms of buying them in a shop, most stamp dealers should know what you mean if you mention Hagner. |

I would use Vario sheets, either one (1S) or two (2S) pocket sheets, depending on the size of the souvenir sheet, with a three ring binder. If you have different sizes, you can easily mix the sheets up as needed in a single binder. Lots of sellers on ebay, some who ship worldwide. |

Perhaps you could use the type of plastic strip holdes for taller stamps, just cut them longer to length for the miniature sheets, which are usually called souvenir sheets in North America, no problem. Perhaps also you could design and print out yur own paper album pages to hold these strips. I do not think there is any easy way to collect souvenir sheets, they are so much varying in sizes and importance to general stamps collections and collectors. Vario pages or in Europe Hgner or Lidner type pages are very nice to use, it is just that they are so common in design that the sheets do not fit into them as snugly as one would wish and allowances must be made for the smaller or larger sizes. Attaching them sideways to pages is another option that may suit your tatstes. That does allow them to be displayed somewhat like sideways phot albums or post card albums also perhaps. I myself us only Vario pages so far in my collecting, but I am attracted to paper pages with black background plastic holders or strips. These allow for a write-up or writing about each stamp or sheet. I am not sure where to buy any, I usually look on Google or ebay first here to avoid some higher shipping charges from overseas. |

I am sorry I missed your previous post before you bumped this. That link is "close" to what I was suggesting. Dutch aside, the description says "GRANDE" so I believe that these are slightly larger than the normal Vario sheets that I was thinking of. I've heard good things about the "GRANDE" versions, but you'd need to be careful to find out what kind of binder they will fit in; I don't have any experience with the GRANDE version myself. Maybe somebody else can chime in and discuss the difference between the GRANDE and regular size Vario sheets. Or, you could search the forum on the word "vario" as I know they have been discussed here. But with that caveat, these are the kind sheets that I had in mind. Just pay close attention to the dimensions of the pockets, and compare that to the dimensions of your souvenir/mini sheets.

Thanks both for the answers. I'm going to look on ebay.co.uk for VARIO sheets. Because I just want the best for my stamps If someone can help with the difference between GRANDE and Vario, I'd love to hear it. Greetings, Rik |

Vario are usually 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches, North American size.
Linder and Hagner are A4 international size I think.
Your binders or page holders will make a difference. |
