Star Watermark And Ashokan Watermark

Hi all, this is my first post in the forum, so excuse if any rule is missed.

I recently started collecting and while being India specific collection - found two different watermark mentioned in early definitive stamp releases. Absolutely clue-less on how to identify which watermark stamp I am having (Ashokan or Star pointing which side, etc). Any help on how to make out the difference would be much appreciated.

Here is a page I have kept a photo of from ebay years ago, more for the page design than any other thing alas.

The waermarks are somewhat referenced at top, hopefully of some minor help.

As someone who's generally hopeless at spotting watermarks, I sympathise. Having said that, the Indian stamps aren't too hard to spot the watermarks on, if placed face down on a black surface. Even I managed to sort out these official stamps using that method! There are also various relatively cheap watermark detectors on the market - you can find them on ebay or Amazon. Others will have views on how easy they are to use - I seem to wrestle unhappily with any technology.
