wert, that Albert is one of my favourite Newfie stamps (the real one that is). That's a terrific forgery.

Jarnick - the 5c Vancouver Island looks close to genuine! It is the cancel that is obviously bad. Here is my genuine copy.

My avatar has a genuine "35" Victoria cancel.

Here is a really dumb fake for your entertainment

I bought it (intentionally) in a club auction as an "unlisted overprint". In fact, the OHMS overprint was not used until 17 years later. It proves that you need to do your homework before creating fakes!

gportch...Those are beautiful forgeries you have acquired..Especially the 3 cent Ottawa Conference stamp...I would have looked at that and pasted it by..Nice catch.

Below are 2 more forgeries I picked up..Both from Newfoundland.

sorry aout the picture quality, my BRAND NEW scanner packed it in and my old WORKING scanner is sitting at the Amity store......so I had to use my USB camera.

Here is a fake Scott #11 from Nova Scotia along with the real stamp.

Here is one of my best stamp from my small forgery collection. This is a Oneglia, engraved forgeri from the Turin 1906 circa. That one was traced to a 1920 sale by Angelo Panelli of San Remo, and is cancelled. in VF - cancelled condition, very few recorded.

Had a quick look and cannot see these anywhere else. So thought I would revive this old post with some BNA Forgeries.

I do not know who made them, have not had time to research them yet.

New Brunswick 1860 SG7.

1860 SG19. With some writing on the reverse.
