Auspost has just had its submission to the Government for an increase of the standard domestic letter rate to be increased from 70c a letter to $1 per letter.

It will not be long before my general mailing within Australia rise to $1 and $2 for items over 5mm thickness and 125g in weight.

And then there is all the other letter rates as well being letter size and weight steps.

Our letter rate is as follows: 1992 to 2002 45c then 50c to 2008 then 55c to 2010 then 60c to 2014 then 70c to now.
