Normally as an ebay seller your supposed to get an email from ebay saying your item did not sell, relist etc. That's fine except I am going through all my covers and finding that I am missing tons of the ebay unsold emails. This is annoying and I am just curious to know if any other ebay sellers on here have also the same problem. It seems to me Most ebay emails arrive but it appears that many are not making it to my email. Now have to go through hundreds of covers to see what I have to list from scratch again. That means re scanning them all etc. I can't be the only one this has happened to. And yes I check my spam folder several times a day. Secondly I have an email sub folder where all the unsold emails from ebay are kept. If your a seller on ebay on here let me know please if you've experienced the same issue. *** Edited by Staff to remove YELLING. All capital letters is the internet version of yelling. For the past month, and I'll add after (4) conversations with ebay CSR's, I'm still not receiving ANY emails. No Items SOLD, Item DID NOT SELL, NEW LISTING CONFIRMED, Buyer Questions....and Yes, I've checked my settings...but to no avail. I have no clue whats going on and ebay has no explanation or remedy. It's almost 4 weeks and all I've heard is how sorry they are to hear of my problem and it will be escalated to the proper department. Nothing more. I did attempt to change my email but the confirmation email didn't come either so since I couldn't confirm, the change has not gone through either. No duncanvr, you are not alone! |

Yeh I seen that to, I once waited 6 hours for a ebay item sold email. Thought these are supposed to be in real time but they aren't |

Check your account settings. I've actually turn off most of those emails. I don't want emails from ebay for every item sold or unsold as that would clog things up and waste my time. Instead, I rather use "My ebay" to figure out what is sold, unsold, etc. You should not have to start from scratch for any previous listing as it's all recorded in My ebay. Also, hopefully you are using a listing program to start your auctions such as Turbo Lister or any other program. That way you have a complete record of each listing off of ebay as well. |

I'm not a seller on ebay but after reading all the information on here and the web in general I am even a hesitant buyer anymore and might just avoid it all together! Just "typing out loud" again... -Jeff |

Something to consider regarding e-mails not arriving -- Most (all?) ISPs have filters on the e-mail server that catch bulk spam and automatically delete it without delivering it to your e-mail account. If these filters aren't set correctly or the algorithms are a little off, valid e-mails can get deleted, and neither the sender or receiver ever knows. I found this out recently as I had several family members sending me e-mails which weren't arriving. Because my e-mail is through my webhosting account, I was able to manually change the spam filters on my e-mail server. I discovered that the automatic filter was deleting over 1,000 spam e-mails a day (Yay!), but was also catching a handful of legitimate e-mails. So bottom line, you might check with your ISP to see if there's any way to (1) check to see if ebay e-mails are getting tagged as spam, and if so (2) adjust the filters on the e-mails server. |

My email is not through my ISP but with Hotmail which is Microsoft. I've checked my filters and all seems to be in order. I also added each specific ebay address to my safe list. I believe the issue is with ebay. |

Its not the email server that is the problem, I have yahoo email and also checked with them and agree with stampnut that ebay is the issue. By the way I get hundreds of emails from elsewhere and none of them go missing like ebay ones. ebay should not have a realtime email setting in their settings if they can't deliver that. Its probably ebays email filters that are causing this issue. The emails are handy because some I would relist weeks later. Its easier to find in an email list than to have to go through my ebay and find the item. |

Unsold items are in your summary... you do not need to be dependent upon emails for the data... |

disi123, It's those "Your Item Sold", "Buyer Has a Question" "Your Listing is Confirmed", "You've Received a Best Offer" and most other emails that have stopped. They are important in real time. I don't want to have to check the website to see each new listing was posted, I have 1900 items I listed two days ago. Normally, I just match up the Numbers and can tell that way that listings were all uploaded successfully. ebay's mail server has an issue...and those affected by it should receive our emails like every other Seller! |

I just went through another 12 East India Company covers 5 items no email. Went to my ebay summary found four but one missing there altogether. When your talking hundreds of items inc pre-stamp which are unique having to search for each one in your ebay summary is very time consuming. Much better to have the ebay unsold emails. Not getting those is an issue for bigger sellers. |

And just found another 8 postal history covers no unsold emails one ended October 1st to a Royal Marine in Woolwich a unique title and unless I am going through drawers of covers each day I won't know they are unsold without that unsold email. I spend hours doing new listings and to have to manually go through unsold items each day is there is just not enough time. |
