Interesting list artlaunier

I could post mine in here as well, but, way too many and it would cut in to my time for other projects. I was always a believer in having a good reference library. These books always pay for themselves.

This is my favourite stamp book, written and illustrated by Maud and Miska Petersham. Long out of print and well overdue for a re-issue.

I just won that book as part of a box lot tonight on ebay - Did a little research on it and it looks like a great book. Glad I could see a pic of it here first. Pic in auction showed no dust jacket though. Really looking forward to this shipment.

Not a heck of a lot, I lost my Library in Hurricane Sandy. However I have replaced the important titles.

History of Letter Post Communication Between the United States & Europe 1845-1875 by George Hargest

United States Mail and Post-Office Assistant 1860-1872. 2 volume set issued by the Collector's Club of Chicago.

United States Letter Rates to Foreign Destinations 1847 to Gpu-Upu. By Charles Starnes (2nd Edition)

The United States postage stamps of the 19th century, by Lester G Brookman (2nd edition 3 volume set)

A bunch of old copies of "The Stamp Specialist" by H.L. Lindquist from the 1940s.

A set of reprints of Ashbrook's Special Service.

The last 4 or so years of Siegel Catalogues.

The 10c U.S. Stamps of 1855-68 Used Abroad by Michael Perlman

Scott Specialized, I think 11 and I have 2014 as well.

A few other titles that I forget.

Hi Mike33,

Pleased to see you won the book. This is the cover of mine, a bit tatty and temporarily backed with (not stuck to) white art paper. Also here is a sample page. It is my favourite book on America's stamps, I am sure you will love it.

Terry

PS. Edited to add photo of authors/artists. TC.

HI Mike33,

When I get the time (yeah, tell me) I plan to digitally restore the cover. I will let you know when I get it done and if you would like a reprinted dust wrapper send me your address in the US to my email on here and I will mail you one. Might be a while, but it is moving up the list of nice things I want to do.

Terrance: When you get around to that dust cover project, I'd love to get one also and would reimburse you for any costs to the US. Tried an email off line..... but I'm still a new member after all these months. John

Hi John,

Will be happy to do that. Not looking to make money on this, I was thinking of postage to US plus say a buck for the ink. Click on my name on left of post above. This will take you to my profile. Where it says 'contact information' click on 'send e-mail'. This will bring up the info including my e-mail address.
