I'm another hoarder. I can't walk past a second-hand catalogue without picking it up. I once found a full set of MNH QEII Aden, including all shades, in the pages of an old SG Commonwealth catalogue!

I have a terrible habit of accumulating everything, then selling of the ones I don't use twelve months later. My wife is challenged by this.

My current holdings are quite extensive, but mainly GB and Empire-related.

No one is going to understand a stamp collector...apart from another stamp collector. As revstampman said, it is a disease, a wonderful,
fantastic ever evolving disease

Kirk, Hunter is a funny sort of guy, when you're reading him, he stikes you as the guy next door type, not really elevated philately,
with an innocent humour, that sometimes he seems to try too hard.
I kinda put him in the "nerdy" pigeonhole, but as you read on, you suddenly find yourself relating more and more to his experiences,
and you experience shock as you realise, you are a nerd as well!

Behind it all, I think there is quite a smart and canny fella,
(well I bought his book didn't I?

In a nice way, I reckon his book is great reading for the dunny (aust=w/c) instead of the scraps of newsprint, like there is in ours,
The only thing is, you are going to have to explain to your wife,
(and perhaps your kids) why you suddenly burst out in laughter whilst locked in the toilet.
