There is a seller (avdiamonds) offering twenty 2¢ caterpillar singles for 1¢ free shipping! (all separately). Example: #111574400982

All listing are private - bidder's identities protected

The past year he has been selling (simulated) diamond rings at $1000 each.

With twenty listings there can be only one bidder per sale.
So, why take the loss? Is it cheap advertising?

Yep cheap advertising. I have done the same thing to bring in bidders. If I lose a buck on a couple sales but it gets them to look at the better stuff it is well worth it. It's a lot less than paying for table space at a show.

I've also seen it used to "fix" feedback and bump numbers up.

I checked out his terms of sale, cut and pasted below:

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat. Ut wisi enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exerci tation ullamcorper suscipit lobortis nisl ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. In addition to his interesting dummy text terms of sale (http://www.lipsum.com/), he also provides a fake address, 1234 sw 99 ave, Miami, FL 33330. The zip code belongs to Fort Lauderdale and not Miami. https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookup...e=33330&zip=

Phone number 954-888-8888 also comes back to a Fort Lauderdale address.

However item description says that the item is in North York, Ontario.

canadianphilatelist..Real stamp..Mint..But just in a plain ordinary mailing envelope...Obviously he is building his positive clients...BUT..I will have to give him a NEUTRAL feedback for poor packing...It is working against his plan for positive feedback.

Sak...I will let you know if I get spammed from him..
