Here is a 1938 Gibbons Catalogues I bought in an auction lot of old publications.

It has the whole world in 1538 pages.

Over the years, I have picked up two Scott's catalogues bracketing that offer, a dark blue 1929, 1759 pages and a dull black 1932, 1965 pages, both world wide in one volume. I also found two Scott U.S. Specialized, a nice yellow 1940 ( the year Scott changed to the current prefix letter numbering system ), a worn light blue 1948, and a 1961 Stanley Gibbon's Part 1 British Commonwealth, all at yard sales. Only the Gibbons had a packet of stamps inside, a partial set of the Universal Postal Union 1949 issue. Sorry for the slightly out of focus photo of Stanley's catalogue. I bought the 1971 reprint of the 1st Scott.
