Found this yesterday. Interesting little item. It is a feldpost cover posted by a German (?) in Oslo in 1951, or a Norwegian in Germany. The text of the cancel reads: "Norwegian field post office germany - oslo" . I thought the war was over in 1945 (actual fighting anyway). I can't understand a German Feldpost anywhere at that time, so I am going with the Norwegian Feldpost concept.

Since the language of the cancel is Norwegian, not German, I assume that it's a Norwegian Fieldpost cancel. Norway was one of the founding Members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in 1949 so it's probably not unusual to find that there were Norwegian units stationed in Germany. Looks like a philatelic cover to me, especially in view of the rubber stamped address, the double cancellation and the cleanliness of the air gram. Mildred Hodson was a Scot stamp dealer .

The cancel does not read Germany-Oslo. It reads Tyskland-Oslo. The Tysklandbrigaden was a Norwegian expeditionairy force after WWII that was stationed in the English sector of occupied Germany.
