Often seen with the large queen. How this kind of paper looks like?
How to make the difference with other paper style?

Duckworth is not a paper style. He is the author of a book on papers used in the large Queens. See this thread for excellent information on the subject. https://goscf.com/t/40178&SearchTerms=duckworth

Duckworth studied the Large Queen issue and the papers on which they were printed. He categorized them into a number of types based upon their mesh, weight, color, opacity, etc. Some papers were used to print all of the denominations, some a few of the denominations (e.g. the laid paper) some just one (the Pirie watermarked paper).

Papers are known by their "Duckworth types"

Here's a page from my collection that can complement the link to the scans from the Duckworth Large Queen Book. I keep them as reference copies for the different papers.

Koala, the Duckworth book is only available from the Greene Foundation. Please go to the website (www.greenefoundation.ca) for details. You can also phone the Greene Foundation office to order the book. There may be a slight delay in mailing the book to you as it is currently being reprinted and should be back in stock in the next 10 days or so.

I've tried. You really need raking light to get a good image of the paper. The light on my scanner is just too flat. They end up all looking pretty much the same.

Maybe one day I'll get one of those fancy USB microscope thingys.
