Going through my Argentina stamps I came across the pictured variety of Scott#1160. I don't have a specialized catalogue of Argentina stamps and was wondering if someone had a catalogue reference # they can give me for the variety.

This stamp is lithographed (not photogravure) and quite 'rough' when attempting to view any details in the windows. I am thinking it might be Scott#1160a but can't really tell as my catalogue does not mention litho.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

The notes in my (oldish) SG South America catalogue mention two types of the SG 1536 10p (seven or three bars on the windows) and differences in the imprints. The whole set seems to have been printed on two paper types - white, ordinary or cream phosphorescent with matt or glazed surface. A further note states that some values have been reported on other paper types.

SG only identifies the 20p and the 100p black/salmon as being photo, rather than litho.

More confusion than light, I'm afraid!

The best way to differentiate these two types is :
