It is still on the wrapper piece, with the 3c stamps above it. I used it on a parcel I mailed to my mother. Sure, I asked the clerk to cancel nicely.  |

Well Litho, at least the stamps did there job  I am leery about soaking it from the piece because the cancel may run, like this other whale I received.  |

Wow, what kind of cheap ink pads were they using ? Was that cancelled at a "real" Post Office or at one of those Shoppers outlets ?

My sheet was cancelled at a "real" post office (hopefully the ink is better). The other, I am not sure. |

Bee See, was your soaking water different somehow? I am leaving the stamps on paper for the cancels now, some are so rare to me. |

Puzzler, I used the same tap water in my house as usual. I don't recall any other problems with Canadian stamps. Perhaps it is the paper on the stamp, or the cancellation ink as Litho suggested. |
