I have a specialized collection of the Liberty series stamps and covers. I decided to add the Aristocrats line of FDCs to the collection. However, I am having difficulty finding covers for the following two stamps: 50c Susan B. Anthony, #1051 and the $5.00 Alexander Hamilton, #1053. Does anyone know whether or not Aristocrats actually issued a cover for these stamps? Is there some kind of directory or website that has lists of FDC cachets by maker?

Yes, the Aristocrat cachets were issued for the Liberty Series stamps. I can't find a link to an example of #1053 at the moment, but #1051 is available on the McCusker website:

Here's an image of the cover they have:

The "directory" of FDC cachetmakers would be the Mellone Planty Catalogs. I don't have a copy, as there are several editions and they can become pricey, but they are available through many sources. Some previous discussion on the subject can be found here:

Mellone groups the entire liberty series into one in their catalog so there is no way to know if a particular cachet maker produced a cachet for any specific issue. That's a limitation of the Mellone catalogs.
Believe it or not the best place to research is ebay. If you do it from Google (i.e. " ebay 1051 Aristocrats) you can also see closed auctions too.

Thanks for your suggestions. I ordered the 50c Susan B. Anthony and put the Alexander Hamilton on my wish list from McCusker.
