Hi guys...I was reading about Denmark stamps that have inverted frame and came across a picture of and inverted frame Scott # 28 as shown below...The first stamp is my stamp...It seems to match the "inverted frame"sample at the bottom.

Now here is my Scott # 28 stamp from Denmark below...

Now here is a close up of my stamp...Does anyone know if it is what they call and inverted frame variety..?

Inverted frame stamp..

I would say yours is a normal frame. I would say the marked up 25o is inverted.

The key difference that I notice between your stamp and the reference inverted frame stamp, is the branching points in the blue circled region. Note how in the reference stamp, the leaf to the left of the stem and branch to the right of the stem connect to the stem at the same point. In your stamp, the branch to the right connects at a higher point than the leaf, not at the same point.

That's right. The same branching found inside the blue circle is found on wert's stamp, down in the lower right corner, under the cancel. On the inverted frame, it is in the top left corner; on the normal frame, it is in the lower right corner.

Hi Wert

Here are some of my notes I use for my Danish definitive in my collection. I got these from different sources on the internet and use them to compare. Maybe they will help?

Thank you, gentlemenn - inspired me to get out the heap of early Danish stamps that I'd put in the "come back when you have a lot of patience" pile.

And, of course, if a cancellation is obscuring the top left frameline, then just look at the bottom right for the same effect.
