Is this a pair of USA #26? Can anyone make out the year in the postmark I thought maybe 1858 but would like a 2nd opinion.

You are correct about the stamps, they are Scott 26. The date is difficult to make out, but looks more like 1859 to me looking at the wide bottom arc of the right CDS last year digit.

Definately CAN NOT be 1853....
These are from the '57 Series....
4 years too early.
