Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America has been picked by the American Philatelic Society to host the 2026 USA International Stamp Show. It's the semiquicentennial of the American Revolution.

The term is semiquincentennial or sestercentennial or quarter-millenial or for those who don't care about such terms, 250th anniversary of the United States.

In any event, more information is given here:

Maybe Boston's snow will all be melted by then!

wt1: Thank you for pointing out the typo. Semiquincentennial seems to be the preferred term currently in vogue. At least when most of the towns of Vermont celebrated their 250th Anniversary between 2010 and 2013, that's the term that they used.

Given revcollector's mention of the 2016 NYC show in another thread (don't go there unless you want to take up arms in the NJ/NY wars), I thought I would bump up this thread. Little early, but who's planning to go to the 2016 International Stamp Show in New York City?

That thread is all in fun, but it is true that the 2016 show is happening in only about 10 months, so now is the time to make plans.

I will be there much of the week. I have a place in TriBeCa so it's just a jaunt on the subway.

I'm also severely tempted by Monacophil, December 2015 in Monaco.

I will be attending also. Staying in Brooklyn with in laws. Would love a meet up with SCF folks. This site and its members, has really kicked started the hobby for me.

I would buy the first round...even if it's just coffee.
