Gibbons' basic price for this stamp (i.e. not taking account of watermark or perforation variations) was £8 in 2010. But the missing bottom left-hand corner pretty much removes value.

While not a piece you could sell for very much money it would still be nice to have in the collection

Doing my normal calculation, 3 points off for centering (cut into two sides), 2 more points for the reperf at the bottom (I'd expect the same unevenness at top if it were valid), 2 points for the missing corner, -1 points for the nice cancel. Total 6 points:

$175->87.50->43.75->22->11->5.5->$2.75

Fix a 8 pounds stamp? Why? It's just a space-filler, nearly worthless.

Someone already tried to fix it, that was the difference between $11.00 and $2.75. In general trying to repair a stamp is only cost effective when the buyer isn't aware of the repair or the stamp is particularly scarce and valuable, scarce enough that the rarity outweighs the faults. Your stamp is fairly common and anyone collecting Ceylon seriously will find better examples easily. Yours would sell to a beginner who is just concerned with filling the hole on the page.
