Couldn't find it anywhere in search so hopefully someone will know. I'm most probably going to be in better financial terms in the relatively near future and want to get better quality supplies for my collection. I did the dance of the lower quality mounts and gives and git burned. I love how the Scott mounts look and the quality but I hate the average price. Anyone know if a reputable dealer or supplier who sells Scott mounts, black background, in bulk at a reasonable price?

The best price I found a year or so ago was from global stamps. Their ordering system is a bit behind the times, but great service, fast shipping, and also free shipping on $25 or more.

I buy "Hawid-style" mounts in strips. As an example, 100 x 217mm long x 31mm high strips cost £16.40. For larger stamps, 100 x 217mm long x 48mm high cost £19.95. For definitives, 1000 ready cut 21mm x 24mm cost £30.95. http://www.worldstamps.co.uk/Postage costs may be a problem for US orders, of course! Regards. Geoff |

I have been happy with these ... really have had no problems with them. Showgards Seconds Last pricelist I had says you get 44 strips of up to Size 33 for $8.75; many other larger sizes available. http://showgardseconds.com/ |

I agree with the endorsement of Global Stamps. I've used them for quite a while. They ship within 24 hours, have great prices and very responsive customer service. If I discover I'm out of mounts on Saturday and place an order, they confirm on Monday morning and I usually have the mounts by Wednesday (they are in Olympia, WA and I am near San Jose, CA). And, they often use high-dollar commemoratives on the shipping envelope. They once sent me a package that was franked with a complete Inverted Jenny sheet, which made a nice cover to save.

I also highly recommend Global (globalstamps.com) for mounts and other supplies. |

I don't know why I didn't think of Global! Derp! I used them years ago to jump start my WW collection and they had great service. |

You can "get lucky" at stamp shows and buy lots of used showgard or Scott mounts that are in very good condition. I use a glue, or mucilage stick with these. For new mounts, it is hard to beat Global in my experience. |
