Is that the Fusco auction in Willoughby Ohio? I attended one of there auctions. They had a ton of stock. Overwhelming to me. I had only a couple of hours to preview and it wasn't nearly enough time. So I didn't even bother trying to go through the larger lots of albums and accumulations. I stuck with the singles, sets and pages of stamps.

Thanks for the heads up. I just registered too. ....wish they had more pictures of the larger lots.
Is bidding live like it is on Stamp Auction Network, or is it all pre-auction absentee bidding?

Never mind....question just answered by registration confirmation e-mail :0)

I have to agree I am finding it hard to commit to a bid on one bad picture.

I have to rely on that little blurb they give for suggested bid and description.

have some saved to favorite will sleep on it,

Hey post card lovers there be trains there lol, don't worry I don't want them...

I would have to attend in person and get a first hand look to bid on most of the items in this auction.

They're also vague on payment and shipping info.

There's a copy of the "United States Mail and Post Office Assistant" reprint set.

Anyone who collects classic US postal history needs these. They're fascinating reading and they're reprints of extremely rare and fragile newspapers that were sold to postmasters.

If the books sell for the "suggested bid" of $100 then they're an outright steal.

I don't get it ,there are stamp auctions somewhere in the U.S. every two weeks for the past 50 years and sometimes 2 on the same day . On the subject of rare stamps really ,do you mean to tell us they have something RARE !----it is all common stuff that shows up at auction every month . You know it is rare when it shows up once every ten years at auction and not like a "inverted Jenny " which can be purchase every year ,any year .
Now the KELLHER auction for EGYPT was rare .I was bidding against 20 or 30 buyers from the Mideast and all the good material was going for over catalog and there has not been another auction for EGYPT since and that was 5 years ago ,now that was rare material.

floottrader I do lean your way on this. Fuscos is more about volume of stuff. I've already placed one bid

Well, it was interesting to look at. I didn't see anything I didn't know I needed before I saw it.

LarryBruce, your a better person than I am. I would not have drawn attention to this auction by posting it here. I'm selfish that way lol

Now I do admit I didn't put much effort to see if the lots had more images on another site besides ebay but if those are the only pictures ? Most US sets are missing the key pieces as they usually are, lot 215 is a bit ambitious at a starting bid of $250.00. You can't tell if all the Louisiana purchase is used or unused, gum or no gum, etc.

My favorite "read the fine print"

" Much of use but expect some faults as always with a collection such as this. Suggested bid $500 " + 20% of course, so $600 for that lot ?
