Here's one I won as a door prize at the Oregon Stamp Society on Tuesday... It looks familiar, but for the life of me I can't see the design well enough to figure it out...

it's a brazil stamp, may be a Sc 96

Aha! You are right, though it could also be the 1885 version. I'll have to dig out my references on these.

it's hard to say from your scan, the middle square with the 100 . the upper part look like a 1885 ( shaded ) but the lower part like a 1988

Looking at the rotated scan, to the left and below the E in the cancel certainly looks like the 1888 version. The numerals '100' look like the newer one.
