There was one "turned cover" in the auction where, at least from what I could see, one of the stamps used didn't originate on the cover. It had a cancel (I think cds) that went across the stamp, but it didn't appear to tie it to the paper on each side which it should have. It may have been a turned cover, but imo someone just added a used stamp where there might have at one time been one. It closed at a pretty penny as well but as suspect as it looked, I'm afraid the buyer took a beating.

I finally got a chance to sit down and look through these books last night. I must say, I had no idea what I was getting myself into!

For starters, these are not your average-sized books and I won't be sitting back in an easy chair sipping tea in one hand while enjoying these. They are printed on "elephant folio" with 18.5" tall pages. I didn't weigh them, but they must be nearly 10lbs each!

I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of these books - I can't wait to to delve into the content ...
