This stamp was shown here some time ago in another thread. I think it is rather clever, but would the postman be able to read it?

Actually to be precise the O has an umlaut which makes it Ö
and therefore the name of the country is Österreich.

It is also correct though that by adding an e after the o
therefore producing oe you get the same sound as ö.

I'm sure that the Austrian postal workers have all been talking about this stamp like we have been, probably have been seeing posters about it for the last month or so, to be sure that they reconoze the stamp.
How embarassing would that be? Use the new stamp and the postperson slaps a postage due stamp on over the new stamp.
