The Scott Specialized makes reference to the number of Bureau precancels used on playing card stamps (RF) but does not list them.

Supposedly the "Precancel Stamp Society Catalog of United States Bureau Precancels" 2005 Ed. lists them. Is it merely a listing of the company names, or are there also scarcity ratings or pricing?

Also, how many pages of the catalog are devoted to the playing card precancels. If it's only a few pages, I might try and track down someone who can make a scan rather than buying the entire catalog.

My understanding is that currently there is no catalog devoted to the local precancels on RFs. Is that accurate?

Thanks.

Eric always seems to have catalog prices on different examples in his auctions, so I assume there is a priced catalog somewhere, but I have never seen one.

Yes, The PSS catalog lists, illustrates, and prices all the the Bureau precancels on the playing card stamps.
For the locals, why not just ask Eric directly?

The PSS catalog has only a few pages on RF's, so you should be able to get a Xerox from somebody. It is worth having because the stamps vary in value from nil to hundreds. There are only 48 different bureau print RF's.

My precancel catalog is 30 years old and it is at home. I can check on it for you when I get home, but if you want current values I don't have that for you. Send me an email if you want a scan of the pages.

Came across this thread today when I saw someone offering an RF26A with "C.P.C." precancel for hundreds of dollars. I haven't been able to find anything putting a value on this stamp in my internet search so am wondering if someone wouldn't mind sharing any info they have? Thanks!
