So as not to bury this in another thread, I happened across this US Postal Bulletin from July 9, 1926 wherein pages 10-12 list every title and abbreviation in use for RPO (Railway Post Offices) in the United States as of that date. I thought I'd post the link as it seems to be an excellent resource when someone is seeking to identify some obscure letter configuration and/or abbreviation used in RPO postmarks from that period:

Thank you for posting that pdf. I have save it even though the dates are at the upper limits of the era I collect, I'm sure it will prove helpfull. Thanks again.
