Kirks.i come on for a little personal input too. I'm kinda new and your response is kinda snotty. So I don't need that kinda input. . Ya we all know how to search. But a lot online is not too clear. Why have a form at all if you're saying go somewhere else. . |

As a moderator, I go out of my way to make everyone welcome on SCF, but we do have certain expectations of our members. We absolutely make allowances for new members and those who are 'finding their way' around our forum.
Specific to all your posts,
- I have moved several of them to the appropriate forum; e.g. when you post stamps of France in the US Classics section
- I have asked you repeatedly to use descriptive subject titles
- I have asked you not to post a one word subject and a picture with no comments
- Members of this forum love to see images of stamps, but we do not exist only to identify your stamps
- When you ask us to identify a stamp that clearly says CANADA on it, it demonstrates a lack of effort on your part
Specific to the covers in this thread, there are many threads here on SCF about the "CORONATION ISSUES," a phrase clearly visible on your cover. For that reason, I suggested that you use the SCF SEARCH button to search.

Yes I know about a basic search. But I would like a little personal input from members. Sometimes everything can't be found on a Web site.the response you gave yesterday was uncalled for. No need to make someone feel stupid. . A email should have been sent to me, not on the forum. I guess I shouldn't post anymore because of this. If anyone knows a friendly site that would be great. I didn't join to get people mad at my post. I thought stamps were kinda cool, but if I'm upsetting others I'll search for a different one. |

Newfie, don't take your ball and go home. The search Kirk is referring to is a search engine only for this site. The point would be to use the search engine, find one of the already started topics regarding coronation issue FDC's and add to it. That way other collectors that have interest and knowledge of these covers will see it and offer the best advice /information on the subject.
You also have to do your part in order for other members to help you. We are not mind readers so clear and concise titles help us help you, and we do love to help other collectors and see others collections so please do continue to post your items.
Your post here is labeled Caribbean first day ? And then you post Canadian Stamps. Create separate threads for each item from different countries, SCF has the proper forum for anything you might have. |

Ok thanks. I feel your response is very helpful. And I have been trying the search. It works great. I just didn't want to upset certain people. I'm gonna not post so much until I have a better feel of the site . Thanks again. |

Quote: until I have a better feel of the site Great idea. Check out all the forums here and you'll get a great idea of how things flow and how best to obtain the answers you seek. Use your post titles to try and attract the experts in that particular country / time frame. You'll be surprised by the knowledge of the community, I can't recall seeing a question that could not be answered here so don't be shy. You'll get the hang of it so hang in there :) |
