I will keep pronouncing it this way is it's too hard to unlearn after this long. Plus, it likely doesn't really matter. I've known what it meant for at least 35 years now and in all that time have never spoken it out loud. It's entirely likely that I could live out the rest of my days without needing to speak it. Which is kind of weird, when you think about it. Can't be too many other words in our working vocabulary like that.

Yeah, I guess there are probably a few other words on that list that I'm familiar with but have likely never spoken out loud, like "dragoon", "esprit de corps" and some other similar terms. I'm sure there are other philatelic terms as well, "zusammandrucke" immediately comes to mind.
