Havn't troubled ralph with any of my finds lately nor verified with pics as yet from hi site. Picked up a 400+pc hoarder lot of small queens to play with and found these couple quickly.
Was doing perf checking on all the 3center and was shocked at the ratio of 12.25 and even a couple I swear were closer to 12.4.
All sorts of quide dots and great cancels in the mix that I'll post as time permits.
My suspicion on the first comes from the A N in canada and the CENTS. Possibly a slip print but not really even enough across.
The second almost comes across as a dry print but usually there would be other areas effected when this happens.
Always open to opinions.

The first one appears to be a kiss print. The second one is caused by under inking.

I agree with watermark. The second is either under inking or dry inking (same result)

The perf 12.25 is the late 1896 - 1897 printing
