Thanks for your quick reply. I scanned 1 of the stamps in the set1964. They all have a little anchor in one of the corners - they are embossed in gold. What do you think?

This is outside my usual era, so take this with a grain of salt, but I believe you have the decimal overprint on Pitcairn 39. You can see the 1/2d under the anchor, which was done as an attempt at obliterating the old value using some visual interest. The decimal 1/2c was added.

This now makes it Scott 72.

Southern, you took your original question away, but yes, this is the 1964 ships and blooms definitive series, now overprinted in 1967 to make it decimal. The total catalog value of both sets is about the same. The set you show a stamp from is the 1967, over printed set! For more info go to www.stampworld.com
