Hi guys..Take a look at these two scott #792's and look at the colour difference..Took my colour analysing software so you can really see the difference...Took my sample directly above the last "A" in Canada to be accurate...Printers must be colour blind.

Those stamps are 32 years old, they may just have change color

The stamp was printed on two different papers. Plate 1 was Abitibi-Price paper and plate 2 was on Harrison paper. Abitibi-Price paper has clear gum and Harrison blue-green tinged gum. If used Harrison paper has horizontal "lines" when viewed against a dark background. I think the inks also reacted differently on the papers causing different shades if my memory serves me well.

It is very difficult to determine shade differences on used stamps. The shade may be altered by the paper to which the stamp was affixed, the purity of the water it was soaked, a detergent or other chemical present in soaking, etc.
