Topological Optical Illusions would make a nice topical collection, eh? Anybody got a list?

I've pretty much ignored cars most of my adult life; dragging a few thousand pounds of steel along with me wherever I go stopped being fun in the '70s.

But it would be convenient to date RPPs right off the top of my head; the cars are often the most reliable clue.

Been there lots..a very neat place...or how about in hartland N.B. the worlds longest covered bridge.

Best guess at the year of that sedan, I'd say late 30's, early 40's.

littleriverphil...i think your right..Think its a 1939 sedan.

Great looking old ride! Running boards, suicide doors and full fenders! I'd bet aduldts could actually ride in the back seat!

ikey - actually did the magnetic thing on that hill long before it got paved and became a HUGE tourist centre.

Actually CanadaStamp...It was a big success..I have been there many times when that same dirt road was there..And if you look at Ikey's picture, I have circled an area that has a farm hous/barn...When you look at it it is warped, may be part of the magnetic effect..My Dad showed me it when he first took me there when I was about 9 years old.

There I also a MINI magnetic hill in Burlington, Ontario outside Hamilton/Toronto..I have not found it yet...

You've got to wonder what that sign (?) was that's knocked down in the foreground, too.

wt1...ya, your right..Wonder why they never had a "magnetic hill" stamp put out, or even the other attractions/wonders of New Brunswick like the "tidal bore".."Reversing falls"..."longest covered bridge in the world"..They would make great horn blowing stamps.

I mean even our American friends have stamps for "old faithful" and such.

Thank you, littleriverphil & wert: you guys nailed that car!

As a New Brunswicker and a former Monctonian, I can comment that the Tidal Bore is a "bore" although they have improved it a bit by knocking out a causeway upriver that was flattening it. Someone actually tried to surf it last year; not sure how successful he was but I'm sure he needed a good hosing down after - to get rid of all the tidal mud. The Reversing Falls in Saint John can be impressive if you have time to stand around and watch the River outflow get overcome by the incoming tide. There's lots to see in N.B. but I don't rank either of these as major attractions. The Fundy Trail is as great as the Cabot Trail if you like beautiful scenery.

Good info there ikeyPikey...It is a neat place to visit..Been there many times...Just curious..I don't think there every was a stamp put out about the magnetic hill by Canada Post.
