Picked up a nice "starter" collection of small queens. Actually, probably a bit more than a starter collection.

Been working my way through perforations, guide dots, colors, papers, etc. After about a month, think I may be about half way to a basic understanding of this issue.

Thought you all might like to see them prior to mounting in the album.

Starting with the half cent:

Nice starter. I noticed some very well centered stamps with large margins. I think that putting those JUMBO's together as a set would look very nice in an album.

Hey Chipg,

You may want to look closer at your very first, 1/2 cent small queen. It looks surprisingly close to a re-entry noted on Ralph's site at http://www.re-entries.com/small_que...alfcent.html

To me, this looks like Re-Entry *3 which is listed as 1R10.

In Unitrade, this is valued at $3000 for an Unused stamp in Fine condition.

Good luck!
