Thanks for this information. I would have been one of the purchasers who would not have known.

The "VRs" are also offered in lot 3746. And they have each set priced the same as a really penny black they are selling

They will just blame it on a junior describer. Junior describers should have their descriptions and valuations double checked by senior describers otherwise it will give them a bad name which will last a long, long time,

Granted this is anecdotal, but my dealings with Kelleher have been quite satisfactory. They generally do the right thing with incorrect descriptions, and may withdraw the lots.

However, they (and most auction houses) won't make a final announcement until the actual auction.

I've also informed them of the inaccurate lots. Hopefully, as more let them know, they'll withdraw them.

Michael: thanks, and I did send a note to the auction firm before I posted my item and I'd be shocked if both items are not immediately dropped. Unlike so many ebay sellers, they are a serious and professional firm with a reputation to maintain.-Larry

I got a reply from the website and I will follow it up shortly. They said they would contact Kelleher right away.

It would be nice to chalk up a victory for fair play.

I sent to Kelleher auctions a nice email and they have withdrawn those two lots.

Edited: Got an acceptable email from Kelleher auctions.

All good.

I woke up to a nice 'Thank You' email from Stamp Auction Network.

It pays to speak up !

Quote:
Dear Mr. Hide…

I appreciate you pointing this out to us.

We contacted Daniel F. Kelleher and they asked us to withdraw the lots from their sale which we have done.

Thank you again and thank you for using StampAuctionNetwork.

Have a wonderful evening!

Dave Kern"

Withdrawn notices can be seen where the two lots were listed.

Job done, thanks all and Larry !
