Hi I've got these old French stamps that belonged to my Grandad and wondered if they hold any monetary value? Any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks

These stamps hold no real monetary value, but are a magnificent glimpse into a historic period.

Most appear to be common and many look like they have faults. The blue 25 stamp third row, first stamp may be the best of the group. Can't tell from your pic if it is a Scott 72 or Scott 81. But it looks like it has some staining on the top perfs, so it would worth less. Hope this helps.

The stamps with more readable and full cancellations (postmarks) can be worth something to a postmark collector (marcophilatelist) just by themselves.

Some other ones can have varieties in perfs, colours, printing errors to a specialist, etc.

See http://marcophilie.org/ = France (philatélie et marcophilie)

You could also search under a 600 dpi sscan the Napoleon's or even the sower (Semeuse) stamps for small varieties or have a very interesting collection of them.
