Does anyone own and use the US SAFE Hingeless pages for USA Regulars 1847 - 1937 (SAFE Product #2461)? I need a few last details to make my album purchase. But I can't find a description of this 41-page set -- does it include images and space for the Officials?

Drives me nuts that things like this are not clear on manufacturer's websites!

After weeks of comparing numerous current Hingeless US Albums, I've narrowed choices down to two finalists.

SAFE Album dual system includes two pages with a clear plastic overleaf with pockets aligned over the black & white stamp images printed on heavy off-white cover stock. Lindner-T System also uses a twin page format, but the clear plastic sleeve with stamp "pockets" is smaller than the full page used by SAFE, and the clear overlay is affixed to the Lindner album page.

Both manufacturers print a heavy black border framing every stamp illustration. I think this frame makes for an outstanding presentation when the stamps are inserted into place. These two systems are very similar and I think both are superior to the Schaubek/Scott mounts which are affixed to the page along the top edge and rely on a split backing that can cause damage to the stamp when inserted if not done very carefully.

So, it looks like I'll forgo Scott cat numbering in favor of the more secure mounting approach. But I'd like page sets to include space for my Officials.

Thanks,
Dan Carazo

I don't know. I've never used their albums. As for reliablity and usability questions, I would trust SCF more than the manufacturer.

But as you've asked this same question in 3 different posts here, there are some things you might have to get from the company.

Good luck,
Kirk

Did you ever end up getting the SAFE hingeless album? If so, I'd love to hear your experience and observations. Considering the very same album. Thanks! Matt

Hi nc,

I did eventually review many US hingeless albums and requested sample pages from numerous publishers.
I did not purchase the SAFE album but you might benefit from the many shared details on various albums, pages & binders you will find in this other thread on SCF:

Since earlier this year I was shopping for hingeless albums for my Classic US stamps, I found a years old album review and started asking my questions. The members in our Forum responded with much new content and many insights. Starting with that should be informative.
