If you click on it's better but the grid pattern can be seen better if you blow it up more,I can't put a bigger picture here it won't let me download it any bigger.

I want to say "I knew" it was a flat plate printing from the moment I saw it, but I'm not good at explaining why. Fortunately, I don't have to. What makes this one easy to identify is the date of use on postcard. The rotary press printings for the perf 10.5x11 1c stamp was issued in 1927. You have a 552

If you want a larger image of the stamp, crop everything but the stamp, all the rest of the postcard uses up the allowed limit.

Sorry, this is better,it has clear "brickwork" like a rotary stamp in my picture but the bigger I make it the grainier it gets.

Scanning at a higher resolution will fix that.

The colors of your scan look off so very hard to tell. The 552 has a nice darker green, here is an example of how to scan.

Use a black background to bring out the perforations, Scann @ 1200 DPI, crop to perf edges.

This is a 552

Hi,yes your correct,I forgot about that,I bought those on ebay a while back for the 581 to use as a template,it was a 552,I kept the picture saved on the computer for reference, but you can see the difference,my stamp does not look anything like a 552,I'm probably wrong, that's why I posted here, you guys know everything about stamps, the picture is from the ad,it's in the mail so I figured I'd get some info while it's on it's way,I'll post a perfect picture when it gets here, the picture I have is great but when I post it here the quality goes down, probably my computer,it's 10+ years old now,I'll be back with pictures soon.
