Hi guys...Just looking at some of my Spanish stamps Scott #222 + 223 + 228 ans was wondering why all my stamps have "CS" at the bottom but my Scott #228 does not...Maybe it's normal..see picture. Thank, Robert
"Cs" stands for "céntimos",1/100 of peseta, the Spanish currency between 1869 and 2002. The word "centavo", is the same but in American-Spanish. The language spoken in the Spanish-speaking areas of Europe (not he whole of the Spanish Kingdom!) is quite different from that on the other hemysphere.
