It's not real common. It's also mis perfed enough to include part of the stamp to the right. Thats about all I can tell from that photo, can't really see the perfs or any damage clearly.
The stamp is probably Scott #77 (issued 1866), common enough especially in poorly centered condition. Hard to tell from the photo what's going on with the left side of this example. Poor centering is par for the course for the 1861-1868 issue, though this example is pretty extreme. It is of interest, as you say, from the EFO (errors, freaks and oddities) perspective, but not valuable.
