While looking thru back issues of the GB Royal Mail New Issues Calendar I found that in 2013 they appear to have missed sending me an entire stamp set. I get all new issues automatically but one set is missing for some unexplained reason.
Look at the below calendar and it definitely shows TWO sets of stamps were issued in April 2013. I have the "Great Britons" set but the "Ancient and Religious Artifacts" set was never delivered and I cannot find a trace of it even by Googling it!
Royal Mail even send me a brochure of New Issues with the details of that "missing" set and you can see in the scan that it was a four stamp set... but, hey Royal Mail, that is four stamps short of a complete years issue in my case.

Needless to say, I am never giving Royal Mail further orders. No press release or note to customers regarding this set was issued by Royal Mail and that is a scandalous way to treat us.

According to Linn's, that set was pulled because it is now illegal to depict images of ivory.

They had made a quick substitution of the 2nd value with another religious figure, a depiction of Sir (St.) Paul McCartney, but apparently that did not fix the problem?

I for one would love to see these stamps! I have never seen a 3,1415 ( PI ) perforation, or a square stamp that measures 35mm by 45mm. Also, I will need some help with the new printing technique. I hope all are having a great day tomorrow!

Moby Dick's eyebrows would be worthy of a special issue. Maybe even a souvenir sheet. And an article Scientific American.
