In this ebay listing looking at his stamp I noticed the right margin is not full and there seems to be staining on the bottom margin, can anyone confirm if this is the rarity the seller is claiming? I have my doubts it worth the full cv price they quote of $3300.00. Please comment on the stamp & any faults as I also think top left corner margin seems to be a split. The link doesn't work - 404 error.
However, the stamp also appears to have a tear at the bottom through the S. Of course anything this expensive should have a cert. or don't touch it. |

same error 404 ok just copy and past the link in ebay it will find it. Yes I was wondering if that was a tear at the bottom so the value should be zero for it? |

It's not worthless, but it has a number of issues and seller shouldn't have quoted the $3300. Seller has set themselves up for an "Item not as described" claim due to condition issues that are not disclosed, but claims "WITH FRESH COLOR AND SUPERB APPEARANCE". try this link - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1852-FRANCE...em58c26ae9c1 |

Thanks for the link I don't know why mine were giving error 404. Agree on the CV price quoted seller has set themselves as you say. There is item condition in ebay I am surprised so many sellers are not using it. They trey to hide the errors. Now do we think hes advertised the right stamp#? Right rarity? Or is that wrong to? |

I'd be interested to hear what an expert will think...it seems like a late usage of a losange grillé that looks a little dodgy? To me at least. But again, I'll wait for an expert opinion. |

I'm not as invested in debunking this as you are, but a cursory glance at Scott Classic gives red-brown for the 9e, and lists an on-cover price in the thousands. It won't sell for that, of course, but the value might not be made up out of whole cloth. |
