I thought I would start a new thread for covers. I showed an Adversity cover on 3/26/15 in the "Lets see your most recently purchased stamps".

Here is another Adversity cover. This one is a turned cover. It was first sent from New York City to Clarksville, Georgia. It was then turned inside out and used to send to Atlanta, Georgia. It is a bit worn looking but I have been looking for one at the right price. I am still looking for an adversity cover made from wall paper. I'm not a CSA collector but these are a few items I needed (wanted) for my collection.

I'm easily attracted to covers with 3-colour frankings. This one was sent from Kinderhook, New York to Mexico City in 1888. The Lincoln is a deep brown red Scott# 208a.

I don't anything about the Mexico connection, but this is most likely the same Frederick W. Howard to whom your cover is addressed:

Here is the other side of the cover I posted earlier. I can't edit my previous post.

Not my best cover, but the latest one I bought.

Why some one wrote from "Newfoundland to New Brunswick" is not what the destination address indicates.

Here is the destination address, obviously the house was torn down to make room for this new apartment complex.

Actually, that Newfoundland to New Brunswick reference on the "First Air Mail Transatlantic" cover is correct. Similar covers can be found here:
