Check your (and everyone) stamps for compound perforations..Jim Watt the stamp expert was talking to me last Monday and he said people don't realize that some stamps can have 3 perforations the same and ONE different...This is the same Jim Watt who is now plating the 12P Canada stamp... He showed me the only copy ( microfiche) of a sheet (right side) in existence..He also says he has found the notorious "vampire bite" on these stamps.
wert: This is one of my favourite stamps. It has a very nice blue colour. It had a long run from November 3, 1952 until March 11, 1964 (Canada 414). Around 11 1/3 years total of which around from August 22, 1962 until November 3, 1964 covers the new perforation period of around 1 1/2 years only.
Maybe for the Type C - Flying "G" Overprint which came out in 1961-1962 which affected the 50 cents Textile Industry stamp (O38a), the 10 cents Inuk and Kayak stamp (O39a) and the 20 cents Paper Industry stamp (O45a).
