I really loved all of them. Especially the ones where the hair of one stamp made a weird sort of nose for the other.

It is hoped that the stamps are more photoshop cut and paste rather than actually really being cut and mutilated.

I think it is, ikeyPikey! I'm rather fond of #12 myself.

Michael, where did you dig this up? It is waaaayyy beyond the fringe. Absolutely splendid. #4 made me chuckle for some ghastly reason. Reminds me of folding £10 notes to make John McEnroe (thx to the artasmoney blog of this picture), but much, much funnier.

Words I never expected to key: "It showed-up in my Twitter feed."

As did http://www.artstamped.com/

While on the one hand, these cut up and pasted stamp combinations may at first seem somewhat comically amusing; on the other hand, they can also be insulting against the countries that issued them and insulting against the people that are shown on them. Also, some collectors don't mind if common stamps are damaged, mutilated or destroyed in making artwork like collages, but other collectors do mind no matter how common the stamp is. Any opinions on the matter?

Not to be toooooo....... critical, but did not take much effort.

As mentioned, people do use stamps (damaged or not) in many ways, in crafts and art forms; as below.
Pat

PS- My preview button is not working. Any suggestions? Could it be iPad related??
Thanks.

Filling litter boxes, lining bird cages, cupping fish'n'chips ... how do newspaper people make it through the night?
