Now that you are several months (or more?) into your Minkus Supreme Global, I'm wondering how you like them? Are you using mounts or hinges?
A good alternate to BB for a compact classic WW collection?

I am also curious as to whether you use hinges or mounts (or some combination) in you new Minkus Supreme. While I use BB for my main 1840-1840 collection, I have an old Minkus Supreme that I use for later stamps, and wanted to know how you like the new (thicker page) Minkus and its suitability for using mounts for better stamps.
Sorry for the late reply- I just came across the thread again.

Chris and InforaPenny....
First, hats off to Amos!

As I discussed earlier, the Minkus Supreme Global 1840-1952 and 1953-1963 pages do not include PRC. Amos did not send me a Supreme update for these years- as they apparently do not have them on hand. But, better, they sent me the general Specialized Minkus "People's Republic of China" pages (Item MPRC73) that covers 1949-1972. (The pages have two posts, and are not also three hole punched as are my Global Supreme pages.) I will add these pages (when I get around to it!) to the Global Supremes- Nice!
As far as the questions....
I really like the Minkus Supreme as a backup album to my 1840-1940 Steiner pages for duplicates, and as the primary album for the years 1940- 1963! The pages from Amos are thick, and can clearly handle mounts if necessary. Most of the stamps, though, will be hinged (Dennison!). The Supreme puts a lot of stamps on a page, which makes for a much shorter bookshelf- good! I have the Supreme pages in smaller (1 1/2") three-ring binders rather than the large two post four inch binders that Minkus uses. Much easier to handle and work on a specific country.
I must confess, though, that I have not advanced very far with putting stamps in the Supreme, as my time has been focused on the Steiner 1840-1940 album, and adding stamps to it.

So, yes,the newer thicker page Minkus Global Supreme is a very viable choice for the WW collector. I do have also the Scott Internationals Part II- Part IV, but on older thinner pages. I would consider the Internationals to be in the running also if I had newer thicker pages for them.
