The size difference has been shown on SCF here before I remember.
The ink drags or pulls on the bottom line of the stamp are neat because they show the different direction that the extra ink blob or nick on the right numeral shows. I wonder if that is a re-entry also of some sort?.
According to Boggs, the American Bank Note Company produced a master die for the issue, with the denominations and wording of value left blank. From this additional working dies were made. Thus, it is likely that a slight difference in alignment of the added value exists.
